Oh My How Time Flies!

Hey Everyone! I cannot believe it is Wednesday already.....I must be running behind due to the holiday weekend, yea, that works......LOL. I have so enjoyed reading every one's blogs and seeing all the neat projects, family photos, and trips everyone enjoyed. My husband got called into work for the entire weekend, so I spent most of it getting the last of the flowers planted, and just working in the garden. It takes me forever to get everything just the way I want it. I play around with it as much as I do the groupings in my house!

Anyway, ready or not, it is Wednesday, so I wanted to share what I have been working on the past couple days. I found several of these ugly trays at a garage sale, and just knew I could do something with them. So I brought them home and sprayed them with metal primer, and cured them, and then I was ready to paint.

This is a design from Renee Mullins......she does the cutest whimsical designs. Lots and lots of detail in this piece! I have made this one for myself to use this summer, but another will be available as always in my Etsy shop. We love to eat most of our meals outside in summer, if it isn't too hot, and this will work perfectly! I am hoping to get more seasonal designs made up, such as one for fall, winter, and Christmas!

Well now it is time to get busy with dinner.......so I hope you have enjoyed my trash to treasure project for this week. I have so many more I want to get done, but until then.......blessings to all and have a great week!

  1. How cute!! I love that tray, Jody. I know what you mean about rearranging things both indoors and out. I'm the same way. I keeping digging up plants and moving them around until I get it just right. I'm lucky i don't kill them!

    Have a great week!

  2. Love that tray! I have to tell you that your blog has inspired me to do some refreshing to things that I have around here. I used to take oil painting classes and also did some folk art painting. It was years ago, but seeing what you put out makes me want to pull out the paints again.
