Happy Friday All!

I hope that everyone is having a great day today! It has been awhile since I have been able to post, but I have been visiting all your wonderful blogs, and saying hello when I can. We are in for more snow this weekend, so it is a good time for me to get some painting done. Seems on so many days life just gets in the way of that...:)
I did manage to get this design done by Terrye French. I placed it in a frame so I could post it, but I believe I will be painting it  a different color...... Prim it up some more don't ya think? Anyway I just love this design, and it was such a joy to paint.

Okay I took off the brown frame, painted it black and distressed, and l like this much better!

Another thing that I did accomplish this week was getting these cute little soap dishes painted. They are made of wood, and will come in any color you wish to match your decor. Made from wood, and oh so prim with a simple star. They have slats in the center so if you do wish to use it as an actual soap dish your soap has plenty of roon to drain....I love mine!

I have also been painting for my team's Spring Fling Celebration that is coming up in the next couple weeks. Our theme is Spring/Easter and I need to get three items done for that. I will post my contributions to that as soon as they are ready.

So what are everyone's plans for Super Bowl? I am doing up a bunch of appetizers and snacks and it is going to be just a relaxing day here at home. Hope everyone has a terrific weekend, and until next time.....Blessings to All

Monday Market!

This adorable prairie doll is just a sampling of you what you will find at The Moonlit Stitch !
Lisa's shop always has new creations for you to purchase, so be sure to hop on over and see all the wonderful creations that Lisa does!

So grab a cup of coffee or your favorite beverage and enjoy the interview below with Lisa!

1. What is the name of your Etsy shop and why did you choose that name?

I chose “The Moonlit Stitch” because often the only time to work on my projects is during the “moonlit” hours of the night or early morning when everyone else is sleeping!

2. How long have you been on Etsy?

I joined Etsy in February 2008. It’s a wonderful place to buy and sell handmade items and meet folks with similar interests, like the ladies of “Old Farmhouse Gathering”.

3. What type of items do you offer?

Primitive style make-do’s, dollfolk (snowmen, santas), ornies and bowl fillers.

4. How long have you been crafting?

I can remember crafting with my mom and grandma at a very young age and have never stopped!

5. Who or What inspires you?

Inspiration is all around us! I love the changing seasons.

6. What is your favorite item in your shop and why?

Currently I have some fabric candy canes in an old canning jar listed. I was selling these at a craft show recently and a gentleman looked at them and asked why I would put old fabric candy canes in a jar. I chuckled and said, “It’s a PRIMITIVE thing!”

7. Other places where you can be found:

I occasionally sell on ebay as “the*moonlit*stitch”
