Good Monday Morning Blog Friends!

So how is everyone today? It is raining here again for the fourth day in a row. I sure am looking forward to some sunshine soon. No better weather though to keep me inside, so today I finished up this Winter Plate and wanted to share it with you all. You know there are times when I can look at a surface forever and never know quite what I should paint, but on this piece I new immediately. I think Renee Mullins does the cutest snowmen, and I remembered this design the moment I found the plate. It is a bit unusual, being square with rounded edges, and an inset that fit this design perfectly.

This is a closeup of the center. With it being so dreary here it was hard to get really good pictures. I don't know about the rest of you but there are times that I really struggle to capture the true work on a piece.

I am having dinner guests tonight, so in between painting I will be cooking and baking today. I hope everyone has a great start to the week, and I will be back soon with more goodies! Have a blessed and terrific Monday......till next time......Blessings to each and everyone!

My Weekend Project

I hope everyone had a great and relaxing weekend, I know I did. We had nothing that had to be done yesterday so I stayed at home, and completed a project that I have wanted to do for a very long time. I adore stacking boxes! Painted ones, fabric ones, just about any that I see. With my home being a small cottage I can use all the extra storage I can get, and these boxes are perfect for all those items that never seem to find a home. They are a wonderful prim accent too for cupboards and display shelves. Hope you enjoy!

What I Have Been Working On Wednesday!

I so enjoyed doing my animal sitter blocks, that this week I decided to do another set for the upcoming summer season. I think I could do these blocks all day long they are so much fun to do. These would be great for anyone that loves to decorate in the Americana style. I am rather a perfectionist when it comes to my painting, and so these are a nice change of pace for me. The more rugged, and prim the better. I am hoping to have more for the upcoming holiday season, just haven't figured it all out yet........:)

I have a couple more projects in the works, that I hope I get finished in time to show you next week. I am hoping to get outside and get a little yard work done, along with some spring cleaning, so I am trying to do a little here and a little there.........we all know how that is. Have a great day everyone, and hope you enjoy the blocks!
