A Couple of New Things.......

Happy Friday All! How did it get to be Friday already? It's been a busy week here and I was hoping to get a little more done then I did, but it was kind of nice to just enjoy the days after the hectic time of the holiday season. I did manage to get a couple of new things done though......:)
This is a door crown or shelf sitter that I did from a Terrye French design. It was such a pleasure to paint and would look great in a primitive, or cottage style home. My picture taking is not the best today(really need to work on that) but the words, Heart and Hand have been painted on either side of the crown. Love it!

This cutting board was found for me by a friend of mine, and it has the most wonderful patina. You can tell just by looking at it that it helped prepare many a meal in its time. If you look closely you can see the knife scratches throughout and I felt this lended the perfect touch for this folk art chicken design by Terrye French. Lots of fun to paint! As always all of my creations are for sale in my Etsy shop, so I hope you have a moment to stop by!

Here is wishing you all a great weekend! We are busy with family birthday gatherings so there won't be any painting this weekend, but I have all sorts of wonderful ideas, and can't wait to get started. See you next week..and as always......God Bless

  4. I was also wondering how it got to be Friday so soon.

Beautiful pieces, I especially love the chicken on the cutting board! It does have a lovely patina.

Enjoy that time celebrating family birthdays. You will be able to come back all refreshed. =]
